Corriere della sera

Training and digital innovation: a journey through the Italian newsrooms of Corriere della Sera

TrainingUX Design

In 2023, Corriere della Sera started a big digital transformation by introducing an advanced CMS. The primary goals were to optimize the journalistic workflow and enhance the user experience for readers.

As a trainer, during my 6-month tour across the main newsrooms from northern to southern Italy, I designed and conducted personalized training sessions, focusing on refining the User Experience for journalists using the new tool. This approach yielded significant results, with 91% of journalists rating the explanations as clear, and an impressive 72% considering them “extremely clear.” I personally tested the new system and collected valuable feedback from journalists through surveys. The results were then shared with project managers and developers, contributing to further refinement based on user testing results.

Throughout my job, I worked to build effective and cross-functional communication, adapting to the daily language and technical terms used by journalists. I collaborated with the tool developers, as well as the company’s marketing and digital leadership. This integrated approach played a crucial role in actively and successfully guiding Corriere della Sera towards digital modernization.
